Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) is a fantastic surface water sport, where you literally stand up and paddle to propell yourself across the water. SUP boards look very similar to surf boards but they are heavier and wider, which gives you more stability but a little less agility. Some sports just work for almost everyone and Paddleboarding is one of them. It's fantastic excercise, true cross training that gives a full body workout and no experience is necessary. You are normally up and off within five to ten minutes of hitting the water, after an appropriate safetly briefing. We have been out paddling with folk aged from seven to seventy and it brings equall enjoyment for all. Additonally, if you are not comfortable standing, you can sit or kneel. For anyone wanting to give it a try we have two full length Paddle Boards which are always on board. If you are joining us on one of our lunch cruises, perhaps in between snorkelling with the turtles, exploring our coral reefs and investigating the wrecks you could steal a few minutes to try staying on top of the water and give this a try. As you can see, even the dogs love it! |
